Abstract: |
The New York State Department of Health AIDS Institute (NYSDOH AI), Division of HIV and Hepatitis Health Care, Bureau of HIV Ambulatory Care Services (BHACS), Primary Care and Substance Use Section, and Health Research, Inc. (HRI) announce the availability of state and federal funds to provide outreach, linkage to care and retention in care services to substance users living with HIV/AIDS or individuals who are at high risk of acquiring HIV infection because of their substance use.
This RFA is for Retention in care support for HIV-positive clients receiving co-located medical care at drug treatment programs in New York City. Funding will support programs that enhance the engagement and retention of HIV+ drug treatment clients in ongoing medical care, with a focus on improving health outcomes, including sustained viral suppression. The intent of this program is to target clients who have difficulty adhering to treatment protocols and appointments, and, therefore, have difficulty achieving and sustaining viral load suppression. |
